Fannie Mae Lender Letter LL-2021-02 provides that between July 31, 2021, and when the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) final rule dated June 28, 2021, goes into effect on August 31, 2021, Servicers are prohibited from making any new foreclosure referrals or first legal filings that the CFPB’s final rule would prohibit.
