Fannie Mae has announced updates to Lender Letter 2023-04, originally published on March 29, 2023, because of industry feedback and lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as efforts to ensure that the retention workout options provide appropriate borrower assistance regardless of the economic environment and to expand the payment deferral policy.
